ARHS Band & Orchestra Home Page


Welcome to the home page for the Algonquin Regional High School Band and Orchestra program. The Instrumental Music program at Algonquin features the Concert Band (grade 9), Symphonic Band (grades 10/11/12), Wind Ensemble (grades 11/12), and String Orchestra (grades 9-12). All of these Ensembles meet during the school day for full academic credit. There are approximately 250 students involved in the instrumental music program at Algonquin.

There are also two Jazz Ensembles and a Full Orchestra which meet regularly after school. In addition, there are numerous opportunities to participate in small instrumental ensembles.

All-State Audition fees, $20, are due to Mrs. Collins by Friday, January 9th. Checks made payable to ARHS. Medical Form due as well.

 


FULL ORCHESTRA has started! We rehearse on Tuesdays from 2-2:45pm. Our first concert is on December 18th and we are performing selections from The Nutcracker and White Christmas. If you are interested in playing with the Full Orchestra- please contact Mrs. Collins.


 

Our upcoming concert is the Holiday Festival Concert featuring the String Orchestra, Full Orchestra and the Choirs. The concert will have an open house with performances in the lobby area from 7-7:30pm and a sit-down concert in the auditorium at 7:30pm

Please see Mrs. Collins if you are interested in playing in a chamber group in the lobby area.
